All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) expresses deep anguish and is outraged by the horrifying murder and brutalization of a three year old girl child in Tappal in Aligarh. The ghastly crime committed over a paltry sum of Rs.10,000 presents a frightening picture of brutal violence becoming a norm to settle disputes in our country. The child went missing on May 30th, and her body was found on June 2nd in a garbage dump near her house. The delay in locating the missing child by the police is highly condemnable. Strict action must be taken against all concerned officers guilty of dereliction of duty.
AIDWA condemns the barbarity of this crime in the strongest terms. The police must conduct a thorough time bound investigation and the accused must receive stringent punishment. AIDWA calls on its units all over the country to hold protests against this barbaric crime. We demand swift justice for the victim and her family. AIDWA also appeals to the people that attempts to create unrest and communal tensions be unequivocally thwarted.
