Capt Lakshmi Sehgal Memorial Day - “Protect Right to Life”

What

July 23 is the memorial day of Capt Lakshmi Sahgal. She was a legendary freedom fighter and a leader of the Left movement. She was an officer of the Azad Hind Fauz, and the Minister of Women's Affairs in the Azad Hind government. She is commonly referred to as Captain Lakshmi, a reference to her rank when taken prisoner in Burma during the Second World War.
