A militant protest was held by the AIDWA Delhi state committee on September 3 at the gates of Shastri Bhawan which houses the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas against the rising prices of cooking gas cylinders and essential commodities. The price of cooking gas has been raised twice in two weeks. It has been hiked by Rs 150 in the last six months. Women are extremely angry at the absolutely callous attitude of the Modi government. Women are finding it hard to fend for their families.
AIDWA has vowed to continue the struggle against the BJP-RSS government and mobilise women in large numbers for the Bharat Bandh on September 27.
